stressed woman
  • “It’s too late.” – It’s never too late to make a change. There is always time to turn your life around. Just start making small changes. Take baby steps. It’s never too late.
  • “If only I was stronger, smarter, more attractive…” – Do not let your insecurities get the best of you. No one is perfect. We all have flaws and insecurities. Real strength is acting in-spite of your fears and insecurities.
  • “I have nothing to say, nothing to contribute, there is nothing unique about me.” – Do not silence yourself. Do not just try to blend in to avoid drawing attention to yourself. Do not play small. Express yourself. Be genuine and authentic. You’ll start attracting more positive like minded people into your life.
  • “This is too risky, I can’t do it, better be safe than sorry.” – You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take. You have to take calculated risks. Otherwise your life will stay exactly the same. We always regret the risks we didn’t take. We wonder about the opportunities we didn’t pursue. It’s okay to make a mistake. You can always fix it and move on. The real regret will be looking back on your life and wondering if you played it too safe.
  • “I need permission.” – Stop seeking others permission. Just act now and explain later. Not everyone in your life has to agree with you. Not everyone will approve of your choices. You have to be decisive and take the lead. Otherwise you’ll never get anything done. And if you go too far and really screw up, you can always apologize later.
  • “I’ll start tomorrow.” – Don’t let laziness get the best of you. Tomorrow never comes. It’s just an excuse to avoid doing the work. Start today. Take a small step. Make a small change.
  • “This feels very uncomfortable, I’m not doing it.” – To make a change you have to step out of your comfort zone. You have to sacrifice some comfort now for a future reward. Start small. Start with things that make you a little uncomfortable. Overtime your comfort zone will expand. You’ll be surprised how much more you’re capable of.
  • “This is too painful, I can’t do it.” – You cannot create transformation and change without facing some pain and challenges along the way. You have to let yourself be vulnerable. You have to be willing to acknowledge & feel the pain, accept it as a part of life and move on.
  • “It’s not my fault. There is nothing I can about it.” – It’s easy to blame others. It’s easy to blame circumstances. But you’ll end up feeling week and helpless. You must take responsibility to make a positive change. Focus on what you can do. Focus on the changes you can make.
  • “I know I promised but…” – Do you keep the promises you make? Often, people over-promise and under-deliver. Be careful what you promise others. It’s better to make a small promise and stick to it. It’s better than making a big promise and never following through. Your reputation is on the line. Also be careful what promises you make to yourself. Start small and be realistic. Otherwise you’ll never follow through and will feel like a failure.
  • “You have to fake it before you make it.” – Try being more honest. Don’t pretend your perfect. Don’t pretend you know everything. Owning your insecurities and shortcomings is much more powerful than hiding them.
  • “If I ignore my problems they will go away.” – You have to face and acknowledge a problem before you can fix it. You cannot just ignore your problems and hope they’ll go away.
  • “It’s too hard.” – There will always be obstacles. If it was easy, then everyone would have it. If it was easy it would not be worth pursuing.
  • “But I’ve already tried and failed. I feel like giving up.” – It’s only a failure if you don’t learn from it. Learn from it and move on. Then its simply a learning experience. Now you’re wiser and closer to your goal.
  • “My life sucks.” – Don’t give up on life. Experience it. Work at it. Everything you go through helps you grow. Amazing things can and do happen when you least expect them. Try to focus on the positive in your life. Try to be more grateful for all the things you already have.
